We have received many requests from admins on campus to provide a list of schema extensions that have been made to the tree. This is somewhat difficult in that some schema extensions are buried within others. For instance, NetWare Service Packs can include schema extensions for all of the products that shipped with that version of NetWare. Another example is when Novell decides to roll a products' schema into the base schema.; So the tree may actually get extended during an eDirectory upgrade for a product we didn't actually know it was being extended for. So please do not consider this list to be exact. The best way to know if the tree has been extended for a product is to compare the schema files that come with the product (if easily available) and compare their contents to the current schema of the tree. Not fun. Tedious and possible, but not fun.
Here is a list of schema extensions that we willingly made to the Michigan Tree and sent announcements out about. Since the tree started life in 1993 (September 25, 1993 11:11:55pm to be exact) and this list is being generated in 2003, and the fact that no one has email archives of this stuff that go back that far, this list is not a complete list of all extensions ever made to the schema.
