Accessing The Fleming Wireless Network

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS (Windows PC, Mac, Linux, etc.)

1) Open any web browser such as Safari, Internet Explorer, or Netscape and it should take you to the "UM Wireless Network" website. If it does not then go to any website and it should direct you to "UM Wireless Network" website.

2) To the left of the page under registered users put in your uniqname and password and then press Enter or
press the Log In >> button.

3) It will now take you to the website you initially requested.

4) You can now do all internet activities but "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS ANY FLEMING
FILE SERVER OR PRINT TO A FLEMING PRINTER UNLESS YOU USE THE VPN
CLIENT".  If you do not have the VPN client please let us know and we will set it up. 

IF ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT WORK TRY THE ONE BELOW
Instructions for WINDOWS XP ONLY

1) Click on "Start" button at bottom left corner.

2) Choose "My Network Places".  This will open up a window.

3) Under "Network Tasks" (left-side) click on "View Network Connections".  If you do not see it then click
on the double arrows facing down to the right of "Network Tasks".

4) Double click on your Wireless Network Connection.  This will open up a window.

5) Click on "UM Wireless Network".

6) Put a check next to "Allow me to connect to the selected wireless network, even though it is not secure".

7) Press the "Connect" button.

8) Open any web browser such as Safari, Internet Explorer, or Netscape and it should take you to the "UM
Wireless Network" website.  If it does not then go to any website and it should direct you to "UM
Wireless Network" website

9) To the left of the page under registered users put in your uniqname and password and then press Enter or
press the Log In >> button.

10) It will now take you to the website you requested.

11) You can now do all internet activities but "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS ANY FLEMING
FILE SERVER OR PRINT TO A FLEMING PRINTER UNLESS YOU USE THE VPN
CLIENT".  If you do not have the VPN client please let us know and we will set it up.
