What Is My UMICH Kerberos Password?
Your UMICH Kerberos password is the password associated with your U-M uniqname. You use it when you log in to Wolverine Access and to most ITCS-provided computing services (such as mail.umich.edu, mFile, your directory entry, the ITCS Login service, and more). People on U-M's Medical Campus refer to the UMICH Kerberos password as the Level 1 password.
We recommend that you change your UMICH password on a regular basis. About once every six months is ideal.
We also recommend that you not use your UMICH password for any other systems.
You may have several other passwords to access different services provided by different University departments and units. When you change your UMICH Kerberos password, these passwords are not affected.
