PASW (formerly SPSS) for Macintosh

Product Name: PASW (formerly SPSS) for Macintosh
Note: With version 18, SPSS has changed the name of their base product to PASW. The company name remains SPSS.

Company Name: SPSS, Inc.
Platform: Mac OS X Version 16 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) but requires a patch which may be downloaded from the SPSS Web Site's technical support page. Version 18 is compatible with Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Description: Statistics software for survey research, marketing and sales analysis.

Base (with Regression and Advanced Models) is standard. Additional modules (Trends and Tables) are available for purchase.
Expiration Date: Each license must be renewed annually on 7/1. Renewal means obtaining the license code required to run the software for another year.
Who Is Eligible: Any U-M department or individual U-M faculty or staff may purchase SPSS/PASW Base and modules. Graduate students may purchase Graduate Packs only. Graduate Packs are not part of the U-M license agreement and are available at the U-M Computer Showcase.
Personal Use: SPSS/PASW for Mac may be purchased by a department for use on non-University computers. Students and staff may purchase licenses for personal use at the U-M Computer Showcase. Please note that an SPSS/PASW Mac license cannot be installed on more than one machine, each license must be purchased separately.

A separate manuals and docs disk is available on our order page for v16 and v17. The version 18 DVD contains documentation in electronic format. Print documentation may be purchased separately through the SPSS Website.
