Effective November 1, the monthly price for Institutional File Storage (IFS) space has dropped from one dollar per gigabyte to 50 cents per gigabyte. The price cut applies to individual home directories, for which ITCS provides the first 10 gigabytes free of charge, and to group directories, which are entirely fee-based. For students, the charge is billed to their student account. For faculty and staff, it's billed to their department.
The process for getting more IFS space is now self-service for individuals. Visit your Balances & Subscriptions web page to modify the size of your IFS home directory at any time, day or night. Owners of IFS group directories must still contact the ITCS Accounts Office (764-8000, Option 3) to increase their IFS group storage space.
