Merit National/International Dial-In Services to End July 2
The University's national/international dial-in service will end on July 2, 2007, when Merit will discontinue its Merit Global Service (MGS) and Merit For-Fee 800 Service. Merit is ending all of its dial-in services on that day.
In the coming months, ITCS will contact those who use the national/international dial-in service and inform them about alternative services. This information will also be published on the ITCS web site.
According to Merit, "The decision to discontinue dial-in services was a difficult one and reflects long-term and well-known trends toward improved means of Internet access." For more detail, see Merit's announcement.
