E-Mail Groups & Listservs

The Information Technology Central Services (ITCS) Listserver service allows you to manage and use large mailing lists. The ITCS Listserver service operates using software called Lyris™, and can be accessed using your e-mail program or from the web. To access the ITCS Listserver Service through the Web you will need either Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Either browser must be at least Version 3.

ITCS provides class list e-mail groups (or "listservs") for faculty, using enrollment data provided by the Registrar's Office. E-Mail groups located on the listserver provide greater security and functionality for both the instructors and the students. ITCS also provides lists for other purposes. Individuals affiliated with the University may request new lists, or the conversion of Online Directory e-mail groups into listservs.
