E-Mail Configuration: Mulberry
We recommend that you download the U-M preconfigured Mulberry 3.1.6 for your operating system from the U-M Blue Disc web site.
WINDOWS USERS! Prior to upgrading, you must first remove older versions of Mulberry and Kerberos.
If you already have Mulberry 3.1.5 or later, you can manually configure it.
Remove Older Versions on Windows Computers
Before using the ITS Mulberry installer (mulberry_individual.exe), do the following:
- Determine if Kerberos is running on your computer. For most users, this means looking for the lock-and-hasp icon in the system tray (bottom right-hand corner of the screen). If that icon is present, Kerberos is running; exit the program.
- If you have an IFS volume mounted on your computer (such as your home directory), unmount it.
- Using the Add/Remove Programs control panel, remove any of the following programs:
- Mulberry
- Samba
- Kerberos
- Kerberos Authentication
- If you removed any of these programs, restart your computer before running the mulberry_individual.exe installer.
