What is the Basic Computing Package, and who gets it?

The Basic Computing Package includes Internet access, e-mail, file-storage space, web publishing space, web access, and more. See Understanding Your Basic Computing Package (S4260) for details. The package is provided by Information Technology Central Services.

All eligible members of the U-M Ann Arbor campus receive the services included in the Basic Computing Package at no charge.

Those eligible to receive the package include all Ann Arbor U-M students who are listed by their department as "Active in Program," all faculty (including emeritus faculty), and all full-time or part-time staff with a regular (that is, not temporary) appointment. Questions about eligibility can be directed to the ITCS Accounts Office.
