Changing the Size of Your IFS Space

Your IFS Home Directory

You can change the number of megabytes of space in your IFS home directory online. (You can also request services at the ITCS Accounts Office.)

  1. Go to https://accounts.www.umich.edu/umce-bin/umce. You will need to log in with your uniqname and UMICH password.

  2. Under the Subscriptions heading, click the modify link next to "IFS Home Directory Filespace."

  3. On the next screen, select the amount of space you want using the Select New Size pull-down menu.

  4. Then click the Resize IFS Home Directory button.

  5. Be sure to logout when you are done by clicking the logout link in the lower right corner of the page.

Your IFS Group Directory

To request an IFS directory for your campus group, project, or organization -- or to request an increase in your IFS group directory size -- contact the ITCS Accounts Office.
