Exchange General FAQ: Getting Started
What is my Exchange password, and how do I change it?
Whether you use Windows or Mac OS X, Exchange uses your Windows Active Directory password. If you have not yet created this password or want to change it:
- Connect to https://accounts.itcs.umich.edu/kpasswd/.
TYPE THE URL EXACTLY: Note the "s" in https and the forward slash (/) at the end.
- Click the Windows Active Directory tab.
- In the Weblogin window, enter your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password, then click Log In.
HINT: You use your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password to access your personal information in Wolverine Access.
- In the Windows Active Directory tab:
HINT: Review the brief password guidelines at the bottom of the web page.
- If you don't have a Windows Active Directory password, enter the one you want in the New Password field.
CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD? Enter your new password in this field. Do not enter your existing password.
- Re-enter your new password in the Retype New Password field.
- Click Reset Windows Active Directory Password.
If you know your password, you can also change it and passwords for departmental mailbox accounts by logging onto Outlook Web Access (OWA).
- On the left side of the OWA window, click the Options tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Options page and click Change Password.
- Follow the prompts.
