Where are the workshops held?

Workshops are held at three locations:

• Campus Safety Services Building (CSSB) (near U-M Stadium)
• North Ingalls Building (NIB) (near U-M Hospitals)
• Arbor Lakes (in northeast Ann Arbor, across from the East Medical Campus)

How do I register for workshops?

Register whichever way is most convenient for you:

Online (U-M faculty, staff, and students only): Select the workshop from the website directly, log in using your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password, enter the proper short code for billing, and submit.

Can I take workshops if I don't work at U-M?

Yes. Please note that people outside the U-M community pay a slightly higher fee. The fee is indicated in each workshop listing.

I'm a U-M student. Can workshop fees be added to my student account?

Yes. Tell us you want this done when you register. You will need to provide us with your student ID number.

What is Microsoft Office Specialist Certification?

Microsoft certifies individuals as specialists in its software. To receive this certification, you must pass one or more of Microsoft's exams. We provide classes to prepare you for taking the Microsoft exams, and we also administer the exams. The exams are designed to test your abilities in MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel. There was an error when I registered online. What should I do?

Please send e-mail to itcs.workshops@umich.edu and be as descriptive as possible about the error that you experienced. We will correct the error and make sure your registration is accurate.

What if the subject that I am interested in is not on the list of workshops?

We offer special, customized workshops on request. These can include customized versions of our existing workshops and workshops on software we don't normally cover. Please send e-mail to itcs.workshops@umich.edu with your workshop request.

I can't tell which workshop will best meet my needs. Can you help?

Yes. Please send e-mail to itcs.workshops@umich.edu and tell us what you want to learn. We will help you find a course to meet your needs.
