Purchase the Blue Disc CD

The Blue Disc CD contains the Windows and Macintosh Internet Access Kits as well as extra software and departmental content. It is available for purchase, but we recommend you download the software on the CD at no cost.

Especially important is the anti-virus software — VirusScan (Windows) and Sophos Anti-Virus (Mac OS X). These commercial software programs are specially-configured U-M versions that check for updates every hour and install them when available. You may also wish to visit the U-M Virus Busters website which includes a wealth of information about viruses as well as hoaxes and scams.

To download at no cost, simply select your operating system in the orange box above and login with your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password.

NOTE: The software included in the Blue Disc is licensed for use by any University of Michigan student, staff, faculty member, or U-M Online subscriber. Some license agreements limit the number of media copies and the distribution methods. Therefore, if you purchase the Blue Disc CD, you can share it with other licensed users, but you may not make a duplicate copy of the CD or any of its contents.
